Your team lives on their phones, so business email needs to work there too. This guide shows how to set up your business email (for example info@yourbusiness.co.tz) on Android and iPhone, plus the settings to use in Outlook and other mail apps.

What you need

  • Your full email address, e.g. sales@yourbusiness.co.tz.
  • Your email password.
  • Your incoming and outgoing mail server names – these are in the welcome email we send when your account is created. For most accounts the server is mail.yourdomain.

Recommended settings

  • Account type: IMAP (keeps email in sync across phone, laptop and webmail).
  • Incoming server (IMAP): port 993 with SSL/TLS.
  • Outgoing server (SMTP): port 465 with SSL/TLS (or 587 with STARTTLS).
  • Username: your full email address.
  • Outgoing server requires authentication: yes, same username and password.

Always use the exact server names from your welcome email or client area.

Set up on iPhone

  1. Open Settings → Mail → Accounts → Add Account → Other.
  2. Tap Add Mail Account, enter your name, email address and password.
  3. Choose IMAP and enter the incoming and outgoing server details above.
  4. Tap Next, wait for verification, then Save.

Set up on Android (Gmail app)

  1. Open the Gmail app, tap your profile picture and choose Add another account → Other.
  2. Enter your email address and choose Personal (IMAP).
  3. Enter your password, then the incoming server settings, then the outgoing server settings.
  4. Choose sync options and finish.

Set up in Outlook

In Outlook choose Add Account, enter your email address, open Advanced options → Let me set up my account manually, choose IMAP and use the settings above.

Troubleshooting

  • "Cannot verify server identity" – check the server name matches your welcome email exactly.
  • Can receive but cannot send – turn on authentication for the outgoing server and check the port.
  • Wrong password errors – reset the mailbox password in your control panel and try again.
  • Messages only on one device – you set up POP instead of IMAP. Remove the account and add it again as IMAP.
